About the ABAC Mentorship Program: Students have the opportunity to apply to the ABAC mentorship program, a year-long mentor/mentee commitment where participants are able to shadow their mentor at their place of employment, attend networking events, panel discussions, professional club events, and speaking engagements in Atlanta, when both mentor/mentee schedules permit. Some of the companies and mentors that have participated in this program include: CNN, Initiative Media, Katz Media, Meredith Corp, CBS-Atlanta, Gannett, 22squared, GroupM, and Cox Enterprises.
Join AdClub for a speaker meeting and information session about The Creative Circus summer program this Tuesday 2/11 at 7:30pm in MLC 214. All majors are welcome to attend!
The Creative Circus has partnered with Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication to offer Summer at The Circus, an eight-week program involving concepting, branding, marketing and packaging all taught in the unconventional style that The Circus is known for. Several of our club members participated in the program this past summer and had great experiences. For further information please click here.
For those of you who are interested in the program, would like to hear student testimonials, and are interested in finding out more information, including signing up for Summer 2014, watch this video. And, of course, attend the event this Tuesday!
Kathryn Harmon and David Haan from the Creative Circus will be speaking at the meeting!
David Haan: Executive Director
Dave has spent three decades in and around the advertising industry. He is a student of advertising history and has accumulated quite a few war stories of his own during long stints with FCB, McCann Erickson and Frankel (the finest Sales Promotion company ever) and postings in Chicago, Toronto, New York, San Francisco, Detroit and LA. Dave has had the pleasure (and he means that) of working with Coors, Molson, Mazda, General Mills, Nestle, S.C. Johnson, Sunkist, Visa, Dreyer’s, Clorox and Zicam. Dave has a Master’s in Advertising from Michigan State and has taught Advertising Strategy and Campaigns courses at Michigan State, Illinois and Cal State Fullerton.
Kathryn Harmon: Event Marketing Manager
Kathryn Harmon is a native to the rolling hills of Appalachia Georgia. She played by the rules and got a BA in Art, recruited for an arts college, and then ran off to the wacky wonderful San Francisco for a brief stint.
